The best way to explain this is by telling you what it is not - a starvation method. Strategically condensing your eating windows has been show to improve bio markers (blood pressure, blood glucose levels, etc) health and muscle mass and decrease body fat body fat irrespective of calories.

For years I had been following the advice in Health and Fitness magazines (i.e., 6 meals a day and eating within 20mins of working out) which I did not enjoy (it never felt right to eat when I wasn't hungry). I also didn't see the results my clients and I now see using fasting as a fat-loss and health-optimisation tool.
I started fasting to improve my aesthetics, but what I found was an incredible and simple tool that improved my body composition, overall health, mental clarity and energy levels.
