Sleep, water and caffeine are the perfect fat-loss trio everyone needs in their life.
There’s a reason why sleep is the first pillar in my foundations. Not only is it the most underrated and under-utilised fat-loss and health strategy available, but by simply improving it, you can positively affect your mood, cognitive function, training and food choices.
All of which are essential for optimal living and fat-loss results.
So, where does caffeine and water come in? Well, while sleep helps regulate your hormones, creating a fat-loss friendly environment, caffeine can help increase lipolysis (fat burning) whilst water is essential for hydration and energy transport, both of which will aid your morning workouts.
For those of you who don’t like coffee (yes, I understand not everyone loves the black magic as much as me ;-), I’d suggest trying caffeinated electrolytes 20 minutes before your session.
While the rest of you, who are like myself, can follow the same advice except with an espresso shot on an empty stomach.
The conclusion is; get as much quality sleep as you can, consume some coffee (especially whilst fasted) and hydrate before each session so you’re able to give it your all.
But, even if you’re not working out, don’t be afraid to skip on this combination every day. All three have be proven to enhance cognitive function and mood – which always helps, especially on a Monday!
Plus, if you’re an avid faster – combing a few hours of fasting before a low carbohydrate break-fast increases the benefits 5-fold!!
